We have an excellent opportunity for an Infrastructure Programme Manager to join our IT Project Delivery team here at Wokingham Borough Council, on a full-time, permanent basis.
In this crucial role, you will drive the successful delivery of the Council’s major infrastructure programmes. You will take responsibility for programme-level risks, benefits, reporting, governance, and stakeholder engagement to ensure each project delivers meaningful and measurable results.
Working closely with senior leaders, the PMO and technical teams, you will drive robust programme management, champion best practice, and help embed a long-term, high-performing project delivery culture across the Council.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitoring of the Infrastructure project/programme delivery
2. Responsible for tracking of project/programme scope and benefits
3. Managing project budget and resource requirements for projects
4. Managing project/programme level risks, issues and interdependencies within IT project delivery
5. Resolving issues and dependencies with other Project managers and IT Operations Manager as necessary
Candidate Requirements:
6. Relevant Programme and Project Management qualification or skills and experience (MSP or similar).
7. Educated to degree level (or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and aptitude).
8. Ability to grasp and interpret high and low-level technical infrastructure designs, technical concepts and documentation.
9. Proven experience of delivering projects such as Wide Area Network (WAN), Wireless upgrades and Data Centre moves.
10. Proven ability in managing projects, other managers and staff to achieve agreed outputs, within budget, including benefit realization.
