Overview
Residential Child Care - Team Leader Fountain House, Leeds. The home supports 5 children aged 6–10 on admission. You will join a team of child-focused staff, supported as part of a larger integrated team with Clinical and education colleagues. We specialise in trauma-informed care following our therapeutic model to help turn lives around.
Responsibilities
* Lead shift operations and support the residential care team by regular supervision and key work with children and young people.
* Provide compassionate, patient, and resilient leadership to help create positive experiences for children and young people.
* Collaborate with integrated services and maintain effective communication with colleagues across the clinical and education teams.
* Ensure safe and nurturing environments, promote play and development, and respond to challenges in a constructive manner.
Qualifications
* Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People’s Workforce or equivalent.
* Experience leading shifts and working with children and young people in a residential setting.
* Strong written, verbal, and IT communication skills.
* Full driving licence and be over 19 years old (due to location).
* Willingness to undertake occasional overnight sleep-ins (1–2 per week; £50 per sleep-in).
* Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children; able to undergo DBS check and employment references.
Hours & Benefits
* Average 39 hours per week (full-time).
