Security Small Works Engineer
Hours: 08:30-17:00, Monday to Friday
Location: Multi-site based, Central London
Salary Range: Up to £45,000, depending on experience

Were looking for a Small Works Engineer to join our Security Operations team, working field-based across client sites. This is a great opportunity for an experienced security engineer who enjoys variety, autonomy, and seeing projects through from concept to completion.
In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining, upgrading, and expanding our clients security systems - helping to keep people, property, and businesses safe through reliable, well-engineered solutions.
What you will be doing
As a Small Works Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality small works projects and supporting ongoing service activity, including:
* Planning, coordinating, and delivering small works projects such as system installs, upgrades, and expansions across CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder systems
* Carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations
* Working with enterprise-level security platforms including Gallagher, Genetec, Lenel, CCURE, Avigilon and similar systems
* Diagnosing, configuring, and troubleshooting systems within integrated environments, including networking, servers, and third-party interfaces
* Completing all required documentation accurately, including service reports, commissioning records, and asset updates
* Proactively identifying system improvements, risks, compliance gaps, and upgrade opportunities
* Building strong, professional relationships with clients on site and acting as a trusted representative of Senseco
* Collaborating with internal engineering, operations, and sales teams to ensure smooth project delivery
* Escalating technical or operational issues where needed, providing clear and structured feedback
Who we are looking for
Were looking for someone who is technically strong, organised, and confident working independently. You'll ideally have:
* Proven experience in a service or small works role within the electronic security industry
* Strong working knowledge of:
* CCTV systems (IP-based, VMS platforms)
* Access Control systems (enterprise platforms preferred)
* Intruder alarm systems
* Experience working in largescale or enterprise environments (multidoor, multicamera, integrated systems)
* A solid understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, VLANs, switches, system architecture)
* The ability to manage small projects independently from planning through to completion
* Excellent faultfinding and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
* A professional, proactive approach and a strong focus on quality and compliance
