As a Care Home Manager at St Martins Care Home, part of HC-One, you’ll put kindness at the heart of everything you do. It touches every aspect of our dementia, nursing, residential, and specialist care. Every person who works here understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, and in this role, you’ll have a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in their lives.
You will take responsibility for the well-being of our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. You’ll lead, motivate, and mentor your team, delivering clinical guidance and training to guarantee the safe, smooth, and efficient running of the home. Your role will include carrying out assessments, developing and evaluating individualised care plans, monitoring practices to ensure safety and compliance, and promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect. By striving for continuous improvement, you’ll ensure the highest standards of care are always delivered.
St Martins is being revitalised with modern, welcoming spaces—from bright day rooms and refreshed dining areas to upgraded lounges, staff facilities, and communal areas. You’ll lead your team in environments designed to be as inspiring, comfortable, and supportive as the care we provide. Whether championing resident wellbeing, setting the vision and development plan for the home, or driving quality assurance above regulatory standards, you’ll do so with kindness at the centre of everything.
We’re looking for a care home–experienced Registered Nurse with a current NMC PIN. You’ll ideally hold a Registered Managers Award Level 4, or Leadership and Management in Care Level 4/5—or be willing to study for one. Leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams and conducting risk assessments is essential. Most importantly, you’ll bring genuine care, empathy, and consideration to every interaction with residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
