We have an indoor and outdoor pergola seating area, and our nursery is rapidly becoming a regular destination for our discerning customers. We are now looking for a passionate and engaging individual to help us expand our food offering to provide Scandinavian-inspired, premium breakfasts, lunches and teas. What Youll Be Doing Following a training period, run the cafe, developing and managing day to day operations across the kitchen and service Be responsible for up-market food preparation Be barista trained (though we can offer training) Have an interest in developing high-end bakery offerings Developing the menu supported by consultant chefs Working with the marketing team to create footfall and elicit feedback Connect with customers to communicate knowledge about the food served creating a welcoming experience Be responsible for stock and ordering, and finding suitable new suppliers Maintaining compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations retaining our 5 star designation Identifying requirements and lead hiring, training, and management of new team members Using the POS system, and ensure all products are correctly set up. Following a training period, you will have the leadership skills to take ownership of the workings of the cafe, developing the Scandi-based menu and the venue. You will need excellent organisational and communication skills to help us quickly establish a local reputation for innovative food offering with hygge as a theme. Also, an aptitude for looking after our customers is important. Experience of a similar catering or café en vironment is an advantage, and training and solid support will be offered to the right individual. Qualification and Experience Required We will consider candidates with proven experience of catering, food preparation, cafe or restaurant work, though we will also consider enthusiastic and able candidates who have recently undertaken food safety and food preparation qualifications. The salary range reflects the experience of candidates. The candidate should have own transport owing to our rural location and must be authorised to work in the UK.
