Job Description
Were currently seeking a proactive and hands-on Estates Officer to join a busy Estates and Facilities team, overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a portfolio of multi-tenant buildings. This is a temporary opportunity with potential for a permanent position following the initial 3-month term.
The Opportunity: This role is key to ensuring the smooth running, compliance, and functionality of key office sites and buildings. You will:
* Ensure buildings are safe, compliant, and meet the needs of the people working within them
* Oversee facilities such as maintenance, cleaning, and contractor coordination
* Manage installations, refurbishments, and planned works
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and clear down rooms for meetings and events
* Conduct weekly fire alarm testing and ensure building safety compliance
* Raise and manage reactive maintenance jobs with contractors
* Oversee general upkeep, including rubbish disposal and repair coordination
* Manage risk assessments, health and safety checks, and contractor sign-offs
* Respond to facility-related complaints and maintain accurate records
* Support budget management for ongoing estates work
* Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota (evenings/weekends)
What Youll Bring:
* Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
* IT literate and comfortable using building management systems
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Experience writing and updating risk assessments
* Ability to manage a varied and busy workload
* Strong communication and reporting skills
* Basic understanding of facilities budgeting and maintenance tracking
