Quality Inspector
Location: Nailsworth
Hours: 07.30 – 16.30 Monday to Thursday and 07.30 – 12.30 Friday
Salary: £32,500 - £36,500 DOE
Contract: Permanent
We are recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is a permanent opportunity offering an immediate start, working within a precision engineering environment supporting aerospace components.
Key Responsibilities of a Quality Inspector:
* Conduct first off, in-process and final inspections
* Complete inspection record sheets and goods reject notes
* Inspect aerospace components using micrometres, verniers and height gauges
* Operate CMM equipment including Aberlink (or similar)
* Use shadowgraph and other metrology equipment
* Ensure all inspection activity complies with ISO 9001 standards
* Maintain full traceability and customer documentation
* Raise and support completion of 8D reports, NCRs and SCARs
* Maintain accurate scrap records and support corrective actions
* Assist production teams with quality-related queries
* Support calibration control of measuring equipment
* Liaise professionally with customers and suppliers regarding quality matters
* Report directly to the QHSE Manager
Key Skills of a Quality Inspector:
* Strong understanding of ISO standards
* Experience using CMMs, shadowgraph/projector and Trimos height gauges
* Ability to accurately record inspection and non-conformance documentation
* Experience within aerospace or precision engineering environments
* Knowledge of continuous improvement principles
* Strong attention to detail and communication skills
