This well-regarded further education college is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to join their engineering department. The college is structured, well-resourced, and supportive, providing existing schemes of work and teaching resources so contract lecturers can focus on delivering engaging, high-quality instruction and supporting learner progress. This temporary contract role is designed to cover the delivery of mechanical engineering programmes. You will teach learners practical and theoretical engineering skills, support their development, and ensure they progress confidently through their programme. The Role Deliver practical and theory Mechanical Engineering lessons to FE learners Use existing schemes of work and lesson plans aligned to curriculum and awarding body standards Support learners in developing bench fitting, machining, and CNC skills Teach hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including circuit building and fault finding Maintain, strip, rebuild, and fault-find mechanical equipment Provide constructive feedback and support learner progression The Person Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant subject Recognised FE teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one Experience teaching or lecturing in Mechanical Engineering Strong practical skills, including bench fitting, hand tools, and workshop equipment Competent in machining techniques, including lathes, milling machines, and CNC equipment Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including fault finding Confident communicator and capable of managing learners in classroom and workshop settings Reference: BBBH267488 Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd acts an employment agency for permanent roles and an employment business for temporary roles.
