Fabulous opportunity for a qualified accountant with TV & Film experience to join an award winning, multi-genre, production company as their Finance Manager. From the start, this highly talented team has been responsible for bringing a multitude of powerful and entertaining programmes to our screens that include Bafta-winning dramas and high-end documentaries. Based in the West End this role will report directly to the COO, supporting the business on their continued success story through the provision of financial management. You will also provide financial information to their corporate shareholders. To be a suitable candidate ideally, you will be fully/professionally qualified (Finalists with extensive relevant experience might be considered) but it is essential that you have relevant accounting experience gained within the TV industry. You will be a natural people-person with the ability to present financial information to this creative business in a digestible manner. Responsibilities of the role include: Prepare monthly management accounts to include P&L, Balance Sheet, accruals/prepayments, variance etc Manage the forecasting pack to include cashflow management, P&L analysis, business performance, forecast deviations Manage a Finance Assistant, overseeing all the transactional finances (AP, AR, Bank Rex, Payroll) Report and present monthly financial information to corporate stakeholders/parent company, including forecast, variances Ad hoc reporting, including budget reporting and quarterly budget against forecast Manage the external audit process, preparing and reviewing schedules Work closely with Production Execs/Managers, ensuring production costs are managed against budget Oversee the production accountants on scripted projects Set up SPV bank accounts Responsible for UK tax credit submissions for all productions Manage VAT submissions, including SPV & group Candidate specification: Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent), Finalist with extensive relevant (industry) experience will be considered Proven background in Management Accounting, month end and analysis Experience in TV Production, Entertainment, Media or similar is highly preferable Strong attention to detail, self motivated, and deadline orientated Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Logical approach, solutions orientated Strong technical knowledge (UK/US GAAP) Advanced Excel Please note only suitable applicants will be contacted regarding this position.
