A highly respected specialist school in Eastbourne is looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their incredible team. This school supports young people with a range of complex additional needs - and they're looking for someone who brings patience, understanding, and a real commitment to helping every learner thrive.
What You'll Be Doing:
Supporting pupils with diverse needs including autism, medical conditions, and learning difficulties
Assisting with personal care, therapy routines, and communication strategies (training provided)
Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to deliver consistent, high-quality support
Helping to create a calm, inclusive and engaging learning environment
Using a variety of tools and strategies to support emotional regulation, independence, and wellbeing
Who We're Looking For:
Experience working with children or adults with additional needs (education, care, or clinical settings)
HCAs, psychology graduates, and those with care or youth work backgrounds often thrive in this role
Calm under pressure, a great communicator, and genuinely passionate about making a difference
Able to commit to full-time hours during term time
Team player who's ready to get stuck in and learn on the job
