About the Organisation We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and community-focused social housing provider based in Harlow. This organisation is known for delivering high-quality homes and support services, with a strong focus on operational excellence and community impact. They are seeking an experienced and proactive Business Services Team Leader to oversee their internal support functions and drive performance across a key operational area.
Role Overview The Business Services Team Leader will manage and coordinate a small team responsible for administration, office support, governance, data processing, and internal service delivery. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and supporting the wider leadership team. The successful candidate will bring experience in team supervision, strong organisational skills, and a background in business services, ideally within housing or a public sector setting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of administrators, ensuring effective workload distribution and performance management.
Oversee core business support functions, including document management, data entry, and internal reporting.
Support compliance with GDPR, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.
Scheduling appointments with residents, engineer diary scheduling and day to day management.
Prepare reports and support the development of board-level documentation.
Build strong working relationships with internal teams, managers, and external stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
Demonstrable experience in a business administration or office management role.
Previous team leadership or supervisory experience.
Understanding of social housing or public sector operations is desirable.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital document management systems.
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritise effectively.
