About the Role

We’re looking for a People Administration Manager to lead our operational HR administration function, ensuring our systems, processes, and people deliver excellence daily. Based at our Wakefield College campus, you’ll join a values-led team supporting a diverse workforce across the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group.
Our service operates on-site during standard office hours, with some hybrid working available after the induction period on a team rota basis.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leading and developing a team of HR administrators to deliver high-quality, responsive service.
2. Ensuring compliant processes for recruitment, onboarding, contractual changes, and leavers.
3. Collaborating across the People Services team to identify improvements, lead projects, and support a positive employee experience.
4. Managing and reporting on HR performance data.
5. Acting as a key contact for audits, statutory returns, and legal data requests.
Candidate Requirements
1. Proven experience in HR administration or operations at a supervisory or management level.
2. Knowledge of employment law, processes, and compliance, including safeguarding and data protection.
3. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
4. A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
5. Commitment to continuous improvement and supporting others to succeed.
