As a Project Engineer based in Cookstown, you will lead projects from planning to execution, ensuring cost efficiency, timely delivery and client satisfaction. Collaborate with technical teams to produce accurate drawings, minimise non-conformance reports and maintain clear communication channels. Keep stakeholders updated on progress, fostering strong internal and external relationships to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management Excellence:
* Efficiently oversee multiple projects with a proactive focus on client needs, ensuring timely delivery and exceeding expectations.
Document Management:
* Maintain meticulous records in collaboration with detailing team, ensuring comprehensive client support;
* Ensure accurate and timely issuance of approval and production drawings to meet client expectations and project timelines;
* Update ‘Future Orders Project Database’ daily with a six week minimum forecast to allow for accurate planning.
Inventory and Logistics Management:
* Manage brick requirements and product delivery dates, optimising schedules to align with client needs and prevent delays;
* Control carriage charges for projects, recording and recovering unforeseen additional costs from the client.
Client Relationship Management:
* Foster strong client relationships through regular meetings to review project progress, transparent communication and proactive issue resolution.
Cost Management and Forecasting:
* Monitor project costs, advise clients on variations and provide accurate forecasts to support effective decision making and budget management ensuring quotes are claimed.
Technical Expertise and Support:
* Offer prompt, high-level technical support, including basic calculations utilising the structural engineering teams’ guidance when needed;
* Ensure project detailers issue construction drawings prior to delivery of product on site;
* Fixing and install guides to be sent with the drawings, as attachments, in correspondence.
Continuous Improvement and Training:
* Make contact with live sites to enhance customer relationships, provide training sessions and coach colleagues to exceed targets and uphold a customer-centric culture.
Reporting and Accountability:
* Produce detailed progress reports, manage customer service issues and ensure adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs).
