The Oxford Research Software Engineering Group (OxRSE - ) seeks to appoint a Senior Research Software Engineer with a specialism in Regulatory and Quality Assurance. This is a new post, funded in the first instance through the University of Oxford Strategic Innovation Fund. The role represents a key initiative to embed regulatory compliance and quality assurance into research software development across the University.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Research Software Engineer with a background in regulatory and quality assurance provision, who is passionate about improving the sustainability, reproducibility, and translational impact of academic research software.
We are looking for candidates who hold a doctoral degree with a significant software development component. We will also consider candidates without a doctoral degree but with equivalent experience of software development, either in research or industry. The successful candidate will have experience working in regulated or quality-critical domains, and familiarity with quality management practices, regulatory standards, and design control processes as applied to software.
This post is offered as an open-ended position subject to external funding. It is full time, but flexible options will be considered.
