Lead Driver | 8751 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £28,598 - £31,022 salary per annum | Scale F | Hethersett

Are you well organised and enthusiastic about providing a service?

If so, we would like to hear from LGV Class C1 drivers or who would like to join our team.

We are looking for an experienced and committed person to lead the Library Delivery Service and support the Mobile Library and Delivery Service Manager.

Currently the Delivery Service collects and delivers to 47 library sites using 2 dedicated vehicles working over 5 days per week.

The Mobile Library service visits individuals and groups in over 400 villages across the county using a fleet of Mobile Libraries. This is an excellent opportunity for a person from a transport / logistics background who wants to broaden their skills and gain experience through what will be a period of change.

You will need to demonstrate your ability to manage yourself effectively, whilst working with other people to work in a challenging, fast paced environment and have the self-belief to be able to do this effectively. You will need to be able to lead and inspire others to deliver service in this environment and have a can-do approach and be able to manage change in a timely way.

Working from our headquarters in Hethersett, the hours are normally Monday to Friday 7.30 to 15:54 (with an hour for lunch each day). However, that can change on a daily basis.

A good working knowledge of transport law and the ability to travel around the county is essential for this position.

A Driver Qualification Card and a LGV - Class C driving licence is essential for this position, A flexible approach to working arrangements is also essential as early evenings and late afternoons will be needed.

Applicants will require GCSE level of education or equivalent or relevant experience.
