Days: 05:30 to 17:30
Nights: 17:30 to 05:30
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a major, fast-paced food manufacturing site where engineering is genuinely central to performance, reliability and production output.
Youll be working in a high-volume manufacturing environment, supporting plant performance, responding to breakdowns, improving equipment reliability and helping keep production moving safely and efficiently.
This is not a back-office engineering role. Youll be on the factory floor, working closely with production and engineering teams, solving real-time problems and making a measurable impact on uptime, OEE, safety and performance.
The Electrical Engineer Role
As an Electrical Engineer, you will:
* Respond quickly and safely to plant breakdowns, stoppages and faults
* Carry out electrical fault finding and repair across production machinery
* Work on single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
* Deliver reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance
* Maintain, adjust and optimise machinery to improve performance and uptime
* Support continuous improvement activity across reliability, OEE and efficiency
* Use SAP to record engineering labour, parts usage and maintenance activity
* Work with engineering leadership and external specialists on complex issues
* Ensure machinery operates to required quality, safety and product standards
* Support safe working practices, including Lock Out / Tag Out procedures
What Were Looking For
Were looking for an Electrical Engineer with:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
* Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic ability
* Experience in manufacturing, food production, FMCG or industrial environments
* Good understanding of planned and reactive maintenance
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production setting
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail
* A proactive approach to reliability, safety and continuous improvement
