About the Role
Veritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Burnley to recruit a passionate and creative Art Teacher for a full-time role starting in September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive department where creativity is encouraged, and students are inspired to express themselves through a broad and engaging Art curriculum. The role is suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to develop their practice in a positive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)
* Inspire creativity and confidence through a variety of artistic techniques and mediums
* Assess, monitor, and support student progress
* Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
* Contribute to displays, exhibitions, and wider school enrichment activities
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be currently completing a PGCE
* Have experience teaching Art within a secondary school setting
* Be passionate about creative education and student development
* Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
* Be committed to supporting all learners, including those with SEND
