Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:
* 3rd level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering degree and/or trade background
* At least 3 years’ experience in a site-based MEP role
* Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a high-performance team
Key responsibilities:
* Ensure mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing health and safety of all stakeholders
* Lead by example, promoting company health & safety policies and integrating safety into all discussions
* Be aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies like Lock Out Tag Out
* Understand project mechanical systems and monitor installation compliance with specifications and schedules
* Assist in developing project-specific commissioning plans and understand commissioning requirements
* Conduct site inspections of mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure compliance
* Coordinate that areas meet CSA and MEP quality standards for beneficial use, aligned with construction schedules
* Provide stakeholders with necessary information to facilitate system installation and project progress
* Ensure contractors and vendors are properly resourced to complete electrical activities efficiently
* Review construction schedules for opportunities to optimize mechanical and CSA work sequencing
* Lead and participate in project meetings with all relevant stakeholders
* Issue weekly progress and cost reports as required
* Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower
* Review and ensure deliverables from stakeholders include construction and commissioning programs, work trackers, risk assessments, progress reports, and handover packs
