An excellent opportunity has become available for a Buildings Engineer to join a facilities management team working on a secure government site in Rutland, Leicestershire. The role involves carrying out a range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure buildings and critical systems remain safe, compliant and fully operational. The position involves 39 hours per week across 7 days, including a 1 in 3 weekend shift pattern: Week 1 - Monday to Friday with the weekend off Week 2 - Monday Rest Day, Tuesday to Sunday working Week 3 - Monday to Thursday working with Fri, Sat and Sunday off Buildings Engineer Requirements: Experience in general building or facilities maintenance. Knowledge of fire safety systems including fire doors, extinguishers and alarm points. Experience carrying out emergency lighting checks and RCD testing. Understanding of water temperature testing and water hygiene checks. Basic IT skills and experience using maintenance systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
