Job Title: HLTA - SEND Support Location: Redditch Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time Rate: £100 - £110 per day (dependent on experience) Monarch Education, part of Affinity Workforce, is delighted to be partnering with a middle school in Redditch to recruit an experienced and compassionate HLTA to provide targeted SEND support across the school. The school is seeking a full‑time HLTA who can start after half term and continue until the end of the academic year. This role involves delivering small‑group and 1:1 interventions, supporting children with a range of SEND needs, and occasionally providing planned lesson cover where required. Church Hill Middle School is a nurturing, inclusive environment with a strong SEN team, supportive leadership, and modern facilities. The school is easily accessible by public transport and offers on‑site parking. The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold an HLTA qualification or be able to demonstrate substantial experience working at HLTA level within SEND settings. Have excellent knowledge and understanding of SEND, across all year groups. Be confident delivering targeted interventions, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs. Provide high‑quality 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with a variety of additional needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language, cognitive delay). Work collaboratively with the SENCo, class teachers, and support staff to ensure personalised learning is effectively delivered. Be flexible, patient, and able to quickly adjust approaches depending on the needs of each child. Use clear, consistent behaviour management approaches to create a calm, safe learning environment. Demonstrate strong communication skills with pupils, families, and staff, maintaining a supportive and professional approach at all times. Bring enthusiasm, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children with SEND thrive both academically and personally. Have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with a positive and proactive attitude.
