About the role
We’re looking for a passionate and driven Network Performance Analyst to join our Wastewater Performance Team and play a key role in helping us run an effective, resilient and environmentally responsible wastewater network. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our network intelligence, managing and responding to alerts from monitors across our storm overflows, sewage treatment works and pumping stations. Your expertise will ensure we stay compliant with regulatory requirements and produce accurate environmental reporting, while maintaining the highest standards of operability across our monitoring assets.
Working closely with operational teams and contractors, you’ll help ensure that our monitors are performing at their best, directly contributing to our mission to reduce pollution incidents and minimise sewage spills into the environment. Your wastewater knowledge, combined with exceptional data analysis and reporting skills, will support leaders and managers in making informed decisions, identifying performance gaps and driving continuous improvement.
A key part of your role will involve coordinating maintenance requests and responding to alarms to keep our fleet of monitors functioning efficiently, making best use of our field crews and resources. You’ll also be responsible for producing clear, timely and accurate reporting, presenting your insights to stakeholders across the business.
We’re looking for someone who is not only analytical and detail‑focused but also innovative and proactive, someone eager to refine processes, explore new ideas and help shape a smarter, more efficient future for our wastewater network.
About you
We’re really keen to hear from people who are genuinely passionate about improving environmental performance and who want to play an active role in protecting our network and the communities we serve.
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring knowledge and experience of the wastewater network and treatment processes, paired with excellent customer service skills and a commitment to getting things right first time. While an understanding of regulatory frameworks would be beneficial, it isn’t essential, we’re more interested in your willingness to learn and your experience of working within Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety procedures.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a team environment, working collaboratively to solve problems, support colleagues and make sound decisions. Relationship building will be a big part of your day-to-day work, so you’ll need the confidence to work effectively with people across the business as well as external partners and stakeholders.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with well‑developed literacy, numeracy and problem‑solving abilities. Above all, we’re looking for someone who is motivated by innovation, someone who’s always thinking about how things could be improved and who isn’t afraid to highlight new ideas or challenge the way things have always been done.
