Job Summary
Security Officer – responsible for delivering professional security service that protects people, property, and assets in line with assignment instructions, customer requirements and Securitas core values.
Location & Hours
Bridgewater, TA7 8AA. 42‑hour week, 4 on 4 off, 12‑hour shifts across days, nights and weekends.
Pay
£14.58 per hour.
Responsibilities
* Protect premises by preventing unauthorised access, monitoring alarms, CCTV, conducting patrols.
* Respond to incidents, enforce security procedures, maintain accurate logs and reports.
* Support health & safety by providing safety guidance, reporting hazards and assisting with first aid and emergency procedures.
* Perform stop and search, report loss, theft, damage and operate security equipment.
* Deliver high‑quality customer service, communicate professionally and represent company values.
* Complete handover paperwork, hand‑over and promote security awareness.
* Build and maintain relationships with staff, visitors and contractors.
Qualifications
* Excellent security awareness with strong customer service skills.
* 2+ years of security experience (preferred).
* SIA licence – currently working towards or holding a valid SIA licence.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Minimum 5‑year checkable history.
* Reliable, punctual, flexible to work days, nights and weekends.
* Must be aged 18 or over.
