The Opportunity We are now recruiting for Project Delivery Director. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, the Projects Delivery Director provides leadership to their team and is responsible for ensuring the safe and successful execution of all major projects, on time, to scope, achieving target margins with optimised engineering solutions. The Project Delivery Director is responsible for developing and implementing project delivery strategy, tools, reducing lead times, improving quality and accuracy, and reduce costs without compromising safety or scope. The role holder must effectively communicate the vision of the business, driving accountability, ownership, and measured performance. Translating the overarching business deliverables relating to major projects into clearly defined KPIs across the two sites based in Sunderland and Adlington. Key Responsibilities Provide Line Management to: Snr & Project Managers, and project support teams across the two offices Accountable for reporting weekly / monthly major project updates to the Group Projects Director and monthly performance to the Managing Director & SLT, as well as monthly performance metrics including Safety, Cost, Progress, Scope, Quality, Opportunity, and Risk Accountable for the management, governance, and reporting of monthly project performance, including agreed metrics OTD, resource recoveries, load forecast, quality, adherence to schedule and cost Identify potential issues, provide analysis, and solutions during SLT reviews and meetings Ensures 100% compliance and governance with business policy and procedures Responsible for monitoring/ control of budgets and working with the Financial Controller to manage risk as well as providing guidance to the Project Delivery Team and outputs to the other members of the SLT Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Minimum Requirements: Degree qualified in Engineering or Business discipline or equivalent Significant experience in a leadership role and managing teams Experience in a projects biased senior leadership position Experience of P&L management and managing budgets (cost centres) Able to work at speed, making decisions and solving problems efficiently Experience and understanding of heavy engineering and/or material handling products/processes Benefits What you will receive from us: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Contribution towards eye test and glasses Online company discount benefits site including cinema tickets and gym membership discount Long Service Awards Employee recognition scheme – ELITE Awards Employee Assistance Programme Flexible Benefits Package Onsite parking We are committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and applications from individuals are encouraged regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnerships.
