Barking Havering & Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Gastroenterology with a specialist interest in Hepatology to join our expanding team across Queen's and King George Hospitals. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a forward‑thinking and diverse department committed to delivering high‑quality hepatology and gastroenterology care across our local population.
Responsibilities
* Provide inpatient and outpatient services, including supporting the emergency GI bleed rota.
* Actively participate in the development of hepatology services within the Trust, shaping benign hepatology pathways and developing community outreach services.
* Collaborate in multi‑disciplinary team meetings with regional liver networks and work closely with surgical colleagues to develop a Centre of Excellence for digestive health in North East London.
* Perform a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including OGD and colonoscopy, EMR, colonic stenting, ERCP, EUS (radial and linear), capsule endoscopy, oesophageal pH and manometry studies.
