Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in Key Stage 2 at a welcoming Bolton primary school. This role will begin in January 2026 and run for the remainder of the academic year, with the potential for extension. Key Duties: Provide tailored 1:1 support for a child with additional learning needs (ASD and communication difficulties). Liaise with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions and individual education plans (IEPs). Encourage social and emotional development, promoting confidence and independence. Record and monitor progress, feeding back regularly to staff and parents. Assist with classroom routines, ensuring the child is fully included in school life. Essential Requirements: Experience supporting pupils with SEND, ideally in a primary setting. Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills. A relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning (Level 2 or above). A current enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply through Tradewind).
