We are looking for a Residential Support Worker to join a small, family-style children’s home supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The role focuses on creating a warm, nurturing, and stable home environment where young people feel safe, valued, and supported to thrive. As an RSW, you will build positive, trusting relationships and provide consistent care that mirrors a family setting while promoting boundaries, routines, and emotional wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality, child-centred care within a family-style residential setting

Support young people with daily routines, education, emotional regulation, and independence skills
*
Build strong, positive relationships based on trust, respect, and consistency
*
Safeguard young people and follow care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
*
Contribute to a positive team culture and support a calm, structured home environment
*
Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with professionals and families
Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (desirable)
*
A caring, patient, and resilient approach
*
Willingness to work shifts, including evenings and sleep-ins
*
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)
*
Full UK driving license
