To address this, we’re embarking on a game-changing journey to introduce innovative solutions like desalination and advanced water recycling to our region. This is where you come in.

We’re seeking a Technical Lead to join us in driving the development of these pioneering water supply options. You’ll work at the cutting edge of new technologies, bringing your engineering expertise to the table while learning and adapting as we shape the future of water management. Supported by the Senior Technical Lead, you’ll provide direction, guidance, and oversight to ensure these projects reach their full potential.

As part of our Intelligent Client Team, you’ll collaborate with top-tier design partners and suppliers, helping to drive the design development from concept to execution. Your role will involve producing tender scopes, evaluating proposals, challenging technical outputs, and ensuring projects meet their milestones. With a focus on stakeholder engagement, innovation, and collaboration, you’ll work to deliver resilient, efficient, and sustainable solutions for our customers.

Ready to make a real impact on the future of water resources? This is your opportunity to take on a pivotal role in a forward-thinking team that’s leading the way in addressing one of the UK’s most critical challenges.

What will you be doing?

Technical Leadership:

* Provide benefit to our team with engineering discipline expertise and develop to be the subject matter expert in our new technical solutions.

* Assess risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation plans, and produce deliverables for regulators and stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management:

* Collaborate with internal partners and provide technical updates, ensuring alignment with strategic plans.

* Represent the team in external stakeholder meetings, addressing technical questions and participating in steering groups to drive decisions.

Safety in Design:

* A flexible and friendly working culture

* Competitive pension scheme – we double-match your contributions up to 6%

* Life Assurance at eight times your salary

* Personal Accident cover – up to 5x your salary

* Bonus Scheme

* Lots of great discounts

About you:

We’re looking for a proactive, innovative individual with a strong technical mindset and a passion for learning. You should be an effective collaborator, able to make sound decisions, manage priorities, and communicate clearly. With a focus on ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement, you’ll drive successful project delivery while fostering creativity and challenging the status quo.

* Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline

* Membership of an appropriate professional body, working towards Chartership

* Knowledge of Water Resources Planning

* Knowledge of UK Water Industry

* Design and Technical Leadership experience (8+ years), preferably within the water industry and ideally with some experience of advanced treatment technologies.

* Knowledge of early project development

Why apply?
