Practice Manager Vacancy
Castlegait Surgery is a friendly practice serving approximately 5000 patients in the sunny coastal town of Montrose. Due to retirement we are looking to welcome a new Practice Manager to lead our friendly team, which consists of two GP partners, a salaried GP, a regular locum GP and a GP Trainee in addition to a Practice Nurse and an efficient administrative team.
We work from a modern purpose-built health centre along with two neighbouring GP practices. The health centre also houses the local Care and Treatment Centre, Outpatient Clinics, Mental Health Hub, Physiotherapy and District Nursing Services amongst others. The Practice is committed to teaching and we offer GP specialist training and have an experienced GP trainee in post and support joint teaching sessions with our neighbouring training practice.
Experience in a management position in a healthcare setting would be an advantage but not essential, as we have a highly skilled administrative team led by an Office Manager, who support the day to day management of the practice. Personnel management as well as financial management and forecasting are key aspects of the role so candidates must have experience and strong skills in these areas. The role also requires managing the maintenance of the health centre building and a degree of flexibility and problem solving is sometimes required.
Hours and working pattern are negotiable for the ideal candidate. Salary is dependent on experience.
