Cabana is the home of the mighty flame-grilled Spicy Malagueta Chicken!
Our restaurants are Latin American inspired known for fabulous grills and
cocktails delivered in a vibrant, buzzing atmosphere!
We are ideally looking for an Commis Chef who:
· Deliver our core focus; To lift
people’s spirits & create memorable experiences
·
Assist in the
preparation and cooking of menu items under the guidance of senior chefs
·
Ensure the highest
standards of food hygiene and safety are maintained at all times
·
Maintain a clean and
organized kitchen workspace
·
Support with stock
management and stock control
·
Participate in daily
kitchen operations, including prep work, cooking, and plating
·
Collaborate with the
kitchen team to ensure smooth service during busy periods
·
Monitor food stock
levels and report any shortages or issues promptly
·
Assist in the
receiving and proper storage of deliveries, ensuring quality and freshness
·
Take responsibility
for specific sections of the kitchen, ensuring consistency and quality
·
Adhere to portion
control guidelines to minimize waste and optimize cost efficiency.
·
Operate kitchen
equipment safely and efficiently, reporting any maintenance needs.
·
Ensure that all
dishes are prepared to the highest standards of presentation and taste
·
Assist in maintaining
accurate records of kitchen operations, including temperature logs and cleaning
schedules.
· Ensure compliance with food safety and
health and safety regulations at all times
· Are available full time and flexible
to work evenings, weekends, and most holidays
· Have a good personality and a positive and enthusiastic
attitude
· Is consistent and reliable and an excellent team player
