New Business Development Manager – National (Homebased)

We are seeking an experienced, high-performing Business Development Manager with a proven track record of winning new business within the construction and built environment sectors.

This national role will lead the growth of our residential kitchen fire suppression solution, Kitchensafe, driving specification and sales across consultants, architects, building control professionals, housing providers, developers, and end users throughout the UK.

This opportunity is suited to a true “hunter” — someone who thrives on identifying, influencing, and securing new opportunities, and who understands the complexities of specification-led sales.

The Role

You will be responsible for developing and executing a national new business strategy to increase market share and position Kitchensafe as the preferred residential kitchen fire suppression system.

Key focus areas include:

Proactively generating new business opportunities through targeted prospecting, networking, cold outreach, and tender activity

*

Engaging and influencing consultants, architects, building control, housing associations, local authorities, developers, and end users

*

Securing product specification at design stage and converting opportunities into live projects

*

Managing the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to handover to operations

*

Achieving and exceeding agreed revenue and activity targets

*

Providing accurate forecasting and pipeline management

*

Collaborating with wider group companies to maximise cross-selling opportunities

*

Staying up to date with relevant legislation, compliance standards, and fire safety requirements within the residential sector

What We’re Looking For

We are specifically seeking candidates who can demonstrate:

*

A strong track record in new business development within construction, fire safety, building services, M&E, compliance or a related technical sector

*

Experience selling products or solutions to consultants, architects, building control, housing associations, developers and/or end users

*

A proven ability to influence specification and navigate multi-stakeholder sales processes

*

Consistent achievement of sales targets and pipeline growth

*

A commercially astute, strategic mindset with strong negotiation skills

*

Confidence presenting technical or compliance-led solutions to professional audiences

*

A proactive, resilient and self-motivated approach

This role requires someone comfortable operating at a national level, managing their own territory and building long-term, high-value relationships
