Overview
IT Support Engineer – Huddersfield. £30,000 - £35,000 plus excellent benefits. An experienced IT Support Engineer is needed for a rapidly growing business based in Huddersfield. Joining a small but growing team, you will be responsible for ensuring that IT systems, devices, and people stay connected and secure. You will provide day-to-day support, manage devices and licences whilst also improve IT systems. As the focal point for all things IT Support, your role will involve providing clear and concise support to users with varying levels of technical experience. You will help maintain a secure and compliant IT environment as well as supporting new starters and existing team members with IT onboarding and training. As an experienced IT Support Engineer, you will have the chance to take ownership of systems and influence how things are done and what tech is used. This role will initially be primarily on-site in Huddersfield due to the nature of the work.
Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day IT support to users with varying levels of technical experience.
* Manage devices and licences and contribute to IT system improvements.
* Ensure IT systems, devices, and users stay connected and secure; maintain a secure and compliant IT environment.
* Support onboarding and training for new starters and existing team members.
* Take ownership of systems and influence how things are done and what tech is used.
* Collaborate with the team to prioritise and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications
* Proven track record of success in a similar IT support role, ideally within an SME.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows, and macOS.
* Understanding of IT security principles.
* Understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
* Highly organised and able to prioritise workload.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, MCSA) would be advantageous.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
