Your Role
Capgemini is seeking an Android Developer to join Capgemini Financial Services Digital Practice. This is a permanent, full-time position in Sheffield, UK and this represents a unique opportunity for someone to enhance their Digital Consulting career
* Design and develop advanced applications for the Android platform.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
* Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
* Identify and fix bugs, ensuring optimal performance of the application.
* Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
* Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
* Participate in troubleshooting and incident response to improve application robustness.
Your Profile
* Experience in working in an agile and DevOps environment.
* Proficiency in Kotlin and Java with understanding of Android framework and libraries.
* Experience in Android development tolls such as Android Studio, Gradle and Git.
* Strong understanding of mobile app architecture, design pattern and best practices.
* Familiar with RESTful APIs, JSON, network framework and third party library integration
* Experience in handling performance optimisation, memory management and app security.
* Good to have knowledge about testing frameworks.
* Solid understanding of mobile app development life cycle.
* Hand on experience on Version Control Systems & collaborative development tool.
