About The Role As a Traineeship Assessor you will have your own caseload of trainees that you will visit in their place of work and observe and assess a candidate's progress, giving them advice and guidance, setting tasks and offering 1-2-1 support throughout their work placement and/or employment. Eventually you will be helping these young adults to successfully secure progression to an Apprenticeship, job or further education. As well as getting to know the trainee and their style of learning you will also be building relationships with the employer to ensure the best level of customer service at all times - doing things The QA Way. About The Person Work with the Traineeship team to achieve agreed volumes for trainee engagement, retention and achievement in line with business strategy and plans. Complete assessment and verification in accordance with the IQA strategy. Work with internal and external partners to ensure that agreed quality standards are met Work effectively with the work placement employers, traineeship tutors, resourcers and Apprenticeship team to ensure that trainees successfully progress on from the Traineeship at the earliest opportunity and no later than their funding end date. Ensure that all aspects of the Traineeship programme is delivered in accordance with the key processes contained within the organization's Process Manual. Ensure that programmes are delivered in accordance with the organization's Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety Policies. Provide good quality, accurate information and data on trainee recruitment, retention, progress and achievement. Ensure all required trainee documentation is available to support financial claims to the funding body. Your Skills & Experience Assessor Award is desirable (or willing to work towards ) GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English at Grade C or above Experience of delivering Government funded work based learning programmes is desirable PTLLS at level 3 is desirable (or willing to work towards) Experience in a customer service/sales role is desirable Good knowledge of Functional Skills at level 2 is desirable Knowledge of business requirements, processes and methodologies is essential Business and Administration skills Excellent communication skills Ability to identify and support individual trainee needs Ability to provide feedback in a way that motivates individuals Understanding of equality and diversity issues and how these impact on the assessment process, achievement and progression Ability to identify and help learners to overcome potential barriers to progress and achieve
