Hotel Sales Manager
Type – Full time, permanent, 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday.
Reports to – General Manager
Location – Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa is located in the beautiful village of Brockenhurst, nestled between the New Forest National Park and the Solent. With 75 modern bedrooms and suites, the award-winning SenSpa and 3 onsite restaurants, we pride ourselves on our friendly team and attentive service. Situated 5 minutes’ walk from Brockenhurst village and train station, we have excellent rail links to Bournemouth, Southampton and London.
An exciting opportunity for a proactive Hotel Sales Manager to join the team at Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa in Brockenhurst, Hampshire. This new role is a chance for an experienced hospitality sales professional to grow market share and help take the hotel forward on the next stage of our journey.
The primary focus is to further develop our corporate sales strategy for meetings, events and accommodation sales and take actions to ensure agreed targets are achieved. You should expect to be off property 2-3 days per week promoting the hotel, developing relationships and attending trade events. Occasional evenings will be required for event attendance or hosting.
Main Responsibilities
1. Create and develop a strategic & targeted sales plan for M&E and accommodation sales
2. Develop new, manage and maintain existing corporate and agency relationships
3. Attend networking, local & national trade events
4. Determine needs, prepare contract proposals and negotiate client contracts
5. Conduct show-rounds and industry FAM trips with agents and direct bookers
6. Record and report sales activity
7. Work closely with marketing colleagues to ensure a joined up approach
Essential skills and experience
8. Have prior proactive sales experience in a similar role within hospitality/leisure
9. Be target and goal driven
10. Be self-motivated and able to set your own productive work agenda
11. Be organised and administratively competent, as you wont have an admin assistant
12. Prior knowledge of our competitor set is advantageous
13. Able to drive and have own car (45p a mile is payable for business travel)
