We are working with a highly succesful, design-led fashon business specialising in the development of trend-driven fashion and lifestyle products who are seeking a Senior Boyswear & Babywear Designer.
This role sits within a collaborative design team and requires a strong balance of creativity, technical expertise, and commercial awareness to deliver high-quality childrenswear ranges from concept through to production.
Main Responsibilities Will Include:
* Conducting in-depth trend research, including global influences, colour direction, and key silhouettes relevant to babywear and boyswear.
* Designing innovative and commercially viable product ranges.
* Creating and presenting mood boards, design concepts, and range plans to internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Producing detailed, production-ready technical packs including CADs.
* Liaising with international manufacturing partners to ensure accurate execution of designs.
* Managing the sampling process, including fit sessions, providing clear feedback.
* Overseeing critical path and timelines to ensure timely delivery of designs and samples in line with seasonal deadlines.
Person Specification:
* Proven experience in childrenswear design, ideally within boyswear and/or babywear.
* Strong proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
* Solid technical understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and the development of accurate technical packs.
* Confident communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships with cross-functional teams.
* Commercially aware, with the ability to interpret trends into products that meet customer needs and market demands. xxuwjjq
