Job Description

Sizewell C is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for at least 60 years.
The Opportunity
We’re recruiting for students to join our Science and Engineering Industrial Placement programme at our Suffolk offices. Taking on a real job at a junior level, you'll have the opportunity to learn through hands‑on experience under the guidance of highly skilled and experienced colleagues.

* Disciplines in Civil and Mechanical Engineering.
* A genuine interest in the energy industry and a passion for sustainability and being a part of making a difference.
* An interest in working in major nuclear and infrastructure programmes.
* Open‑mindedness, flexibility and the ability to think quickly to succeed in a dynamic, fast‑paced project environment.
* Having a strategic mindset that brings innovative ideas.
* Effective interpersonal skills, and the ability to demonstrate high ethical behaviour, integrity, humility, and character.
* Effective communication skills to manage stakeholders while prioritising competing demands.
Over the course of this 12‑month programme, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in hands‑on learning, working on real‑world challenges that directly impact the Nuclear Industry. Most of your learning will be on the job, supported by your mentor and the teams around you. You’ll have a chance to apply your academic training to genuine industry problems while completing modules that contribute towards your degree.
