As a Sr Advanced Quality Engineer at Honeywell, you will be responsible to support to the bid team (Product Assurance Plans and estimates) and lead the production of the Product Assurance section of the Statement of Compliance. This is a full time onsite position based in Edinburgh.

Key responsibilities
1. Ensure Customer requirements are within the scope of Honeywell QMS and generate approval documentation where waivers/deviations are identified or requested.
2. Produce the Project Product Assurance Plan detailing activities and deliverables and management of all project non-conformances in accordance with the QMS and customer requirements. Liaison and communication with the project team on all activities associated with the project product assurance program.
3. Review of Honeywell project and customer documentation to evaluate compliance with the project product assurance requirements as well as undertake project auditing activities in line with the Project Product Assurance Plan.
4. Responsible for allocated Product Assurance tasks within multiple projects including Space and Commercial products and ensure adequate validation to check new products are robust and capable. Be involved with design reviews, production phase and test campaign.
5. Supply chain – audit and review suppliers to check necessary controls are in place to prove product integrity within suitable agreed standards for space development and production. This may include external supplier audits.
6. Drive built in quality (BIQ), continuous improvement, the Honeywell Operating System (HOS) from a Quality perspective and conduct internal audits to AS9100D to support the Internal Audit Plan
Key skills and qualifications
7. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or related discipline and substantial directly related experience within a Quality functional environment.
8. In depth knowledge of Quality Assurance standards and practices applicable to the manufacture of aerospace products including regulatory, military, commercial, and industry/customer standards (eg. ISO9001, AS9100 etc)
9. Desirable Product Assurance experience in space projects.
10. Demonstrates written and oral communication skills with individuals of all disciplines and levels within the organization.
11. Proven problem solving skills, including ability to interpret data, define actions, and implement solutions.
