Responsibilities

* Operate any type and size of single spindle, multiple spindles on a variety of operations such as drilling, reaming, boring, tapping, spot facing, countersinking, etc.
* Work with close tolerances and fine finishes.
* Perform tool offset and load parts.
* Perform job responsibilities according to internal process specifications and third-party requirements.
* Use all tools, jigs, fixtures, and gages necessary to perform operations.
* Perform duties on proto-type or first-time builds.
* Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures.
* Participate in team initiatives.
* Cross-train as needed within the department.
* Reports problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach.
* Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.
* Participates in and support team initiatives.
* Understands and abides by the GE Leadership behaviors.
* Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

* High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
* 1 year machine shop experience.
* Use basic hand tools and measuring devices (i.e. dial calipers, rulers, tape measures, protractors, micrometers, gauges, etc.) as required within department.
* Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation.
* Perform basic mathematical calculations involving decimals, ratios, etc.; 1-3 years machine shop experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Education and/or training in machine shop operations.
* Experience in a self-directed team environment.
* Experience working with manual and CNC equipment including but not limited to lathes, mills, etc.
* Demonstrates ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Humbleness: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn.
* Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively.
* Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed.
* Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative.

* Ability to use Microsoft applications to analyze data (i.e. Word, Excel, Oracle, etc.).
* Familiarity with 5S & lean manufacturing knowledge.


Benefits and Compensation

The pay for this position is $21.60/hr. plus 10% for the shift differential. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 4/30/25.
