Job Description
Evelyn Partners Data Services Team
We are expanding our Technology and Data Services team, investing in a large-scale modernisation programme to drive innovation and insights. We're building a new team to enhance data modelling, reporting, AI initiatives, and cloud data platforms like Snowflake.
As part of our transformation, we're growing our engineering and development team to automate reporting and deliver Power BI-driven insights that empower end users. This presents exciting opportunities for learning, upskilling, and working with the latest technologies.
Roles can be based in Liverpool or Glasgow, with the requirement to be in the office twice a week for collaboration.

We are seeking data professionals eager to lead change and innovate.
What will you be doing?
As a Platform Engineer, you will provision infrastructure as code (Terraform), manage identities and permissions, and oversee core environment infrastructure such as storage, networking, logging, and secrets management. Knowledge of Azure Container Apps and event-driven processing is a plus.
Your responsibilities include:
* Managing core data platform infrastructure (Azure Data Factory, Azure BLOB Storage, Azure Batch, etc.)
* Developing automation scripts and tooling to increase capacity within the Data Services team
* Building CI/CD pipelines on GitHub Actions for deployment workflows across Azure resources
* Monitoring system performance using Azure Monitor, Azure Application Insights, and Azure alerts
* Integrating security and compliance measures, including encryption and access management
* Documenting configurations and processes for team understanding
* Collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to understand platform needs
Qualifications
To succeed, you should have:
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform
* Strong knowledge of Azure services (storage, APIM, functions, VNet, CDN, monitor)
* Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy)
* Focus on testability of deployed code
* Knowledge of Azure serverless offerings
* Excellent communication skills for liaising with non-technical colleagues
* Business analysis skills to derive requirements from stakeholders
Nice to have
* Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript
* Experience with modern C# .NET development
