We have an opportunity for a Gas Operations Manager to join our team in the East Region, managing a team of 23+ Gas Engineer, 3 Service Delivery Managers and Works Coordinators. For this role you will be expected to manage the delivery of a high quality and cost-effective Gas Maintenance Service that responds to customer, organisational and financial needs.
The job sits within Sanctuary Maintenance Contractors Limited (SMCL). SMCL is responsible for delivering a high quality and cost-effective property repairs and refurbishments, estate services, gas servicing and installation and maintenance service across the UK to both internal and external clients.
The role of Gas Operations Manager will include:
* Manage the recruitment, performance and development of quality staff to ensure that the required skilled staff are available to meet the needs of the service
* Manage the operational delivery of a cost-effective Internal Maintenance service by operating within appropriate financial policies and procedures and agreed budgets
* Manage the coordination, communication and maintenance of relationships with internal and external customers, identifying any shortfalls in service delivery and ensuring they are dealt with appropriately
* Assist in drafting and reviewing relevant policies and procedures and effectively communicate and implement these, ensuring effective application of good practice and legal compliance
* Assist in the effective management of the Internal Maintenance service to ensure the timely achievement of business targets and contribute to the development of growth opportunities in accordance with the strategy
Skills and experiences:
* To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, Energy efficiency qualification, Gas Auditing Qualification, HTR1, Water Regulations (WRAS)- or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
* Experience of managing multi-site maintenance contracts in a commercially focussed role
* Operating within a performance focussed environment, delivering key performance Indicators
* Demonstrate achievement in project management
* Proven track record managing a direct labour operation or internal maintenance service
* This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
