Referment is partnering with Kilnbridge to recruit a Health & Safety Advisor, a pivotal role ensuring the highest safety standards across diverse construction projects across the South West of England.
As a Health & Safety Advisor at Kilnbridge, you will be a crucial part of their commitment to operational excellence and safety. This role involves working across various dynamic construction projects throughout London, ensuring robust health and safety practices are implemented and maintained. You will play a key role in fostering a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Travel between sites will be supported by a company car or travel allowance.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
Develop, implement, and review site-specific risk assessments and method statements.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, recommending effective corrective and preventative actions.
Deliver comprehensive health and safety training and inductions to site personnel and contractors.
Ensure strict adherence to all relevant UK health and safety legislation and company policies.
Advise project teams and management on best practices for health, safety, and environmental protection.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date H&S records, reports, and documentation.
Promote a positive and proactive health and safety culture across all operational sites.
Assist in the development and continuous improvement of H&S management systems and procedures.
Monitor and evaluate contractor health and safety performance.
About You
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Health & Safety professional ready to make a significant impact within a leading construction environment. You will be a confident communicator with a strong understanding of site operations and regulatory requirements.
Proven mid-senior level experience as a Health & Safety Advisor, ideally within the construction sector.
Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH Construction Certificate or Diploma).
Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between South West England sites is essential.
Proficiency in using H&S management systems and reporting tools.
