Salary: £29,000 per annum

At Oakhill Secure Training Centre, we care for young people aged 12 to 18 who are remanded or sentenced to detention. Our environment demands high standards of social care to provide a secure space for young people to develop life skills and address behavioral issues. We work closely with Youth Custody Services to ensure best practices in residential care to prevent offending.
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Security Team as an Operational Support Officer, responsible for controlling movement, egress, and access to maintain security and safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and control the movement of staff, trainees, and visitors around the premises.
* Issue, receive, and record equipment for staff on duty.
* Screen all personnel, vehicles, visitors, and property on access or egress.
* Monitor and respond to situations promptly using appropriate equipment.
* Greet and assist visitors during evenings and weekends.
* Answer and screen telephone calls during evenings and weekends.
* Operate CCTV cameras and radio network per procedures to ensure security.
