Position Summary: In this critical role, you will manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of salaries and wages to employees. The Payroll Administrator will handle payroll-related inquiries, maintain payroll records, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies. The ideal candidate will carry out a wide variety of day-to-day payroll administration duties and process the company’s weekly and four-weekly payrolls from start to finish. The payrolls are complex with multiple terms and conditions of employment so attention to detail is highly important. You will have strong organisational skills and a solid understanding of payroll procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
* Process the company’s three payrolls from start to finish (weekly payroll - 1,160 employees), four-weekly payroll (450 employees), four-weekly payroll (185 employees).
* Manual entry of starters, leavers and changes.
* Import timesheet data from the Crown T&A system into the Payroll system (Moorepay NextGen)
* Gather other payroll data from various sources (e.g. excel spreadsheets, internal forms and emails) and input into the Payroll system.
* Process Starter checklist forms, P45’s, Statutory payments and Court Orders.
* Calculate and apply holiday rates.
* Run reports using Microsoft Query.
* Pension Administration (Fidelity PlanViewer)
* Salary Sacrifice administration.
* Assist with P11D reporting.
* Balance sheet reconciliations.
* Deal with payroll queries from our 4 Distribution Centres and employees.
Qualifications
Technical Competencies
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a UK Payroll Administrator.
* Well organised, methodical and numerate.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Flexible
* High level of computer literacy - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel intermediate level)
* Analytical with the ability to pick up new skills quickly, particularly systems/applications.
* Enthusiasm to learn and develop.
