Position Details

Salary: MPS/UPS as appropriate
Contract Type: Permanent (open to ECTs)
Responsibilities
* Meet all requirements of the Teachers’ Standards.
* Implement, deliver and contribute to the English curriculum schemes of learning.
* Shape the learning experience to motivate and encourage students to achieve their full potential.
* Monitor student progress and provide support for personal and academic growth.
* Use a variety of delivery methods appropriate to student abilities.
* Prepare and update subject materials.
* Ensure a high-quality learning experience that meets internal and external quality standards.
* Assess, record and report on attendance, progress, development and attainment using the school’s assessment policy and IT systems.
* Take part in Parent/Carer Information Evenings.
* Set and mark work in accordance with the marking and homework policy; provide constructive feedback, including live marking, to facilitate progression.
Job Context and Flexibility
The workload may not be evenly spread throughout the year. Flexibility of hours and a flexible attitude are necessary, and the post holder may be required to carry out other tasks as deemed appropriate.
