Experience purchasing steel or engineering-related materials would be highly beneficial.Key Responsibilities:Source and purchase trailer components, steel, and engineering materialsBuild and maintain strong supplier relationshipsNegotiate pricing, lead times, and supply agreementsMonitor inventory levels and minimise shortagesReview supplier performance and contractsWork closely with production and operations teams to meet deadlinesEnsure purchasing activities are completed efficiently and accuratelyEssential Criteria:Minimum 2 years experience in buying, procurement, or supply chain within an engineering environmentExperience or knowledge of engineering/manufacturing processesStrong negotiation and communication skillsExcellent organisational and planning abilityHigh attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Office and procurement systemsExperience using Sage Line 50GCSE English & Maths Grade C or above (or equivalent)Ability to work independently and manage deadlinesFlexibility to travel when requiredIf this sounds like the next step in your career, wed love to hear from you!
