Project Officer - Housing Retrofit - WMF2295e

Job description

Location: Penrith

Contract Type: Fixed Term

About this opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity working within the Housing Retrofit team to support the manager in delivering the new Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund programme; providing professional and technical expertise; and ensuring the delivery of the programme and contracts to deliver retrofit measures, to improve the energy efficiency to resident's homes.

You should be highly knowledgeable with a strong housing background and appreciative of the complexities and interdependencies of delivering projects. Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills are essential to further establish and maintain an effective team and develop partnerships.

You will assist with the development and implementation of the Warm Homes programmes, working alongside our partners, influencing and negotiating opportunities for funding, whilst being highly organised to ensure compliance with changing legislation and policy.

Who we are looking for…

You will be dynamic and flexible with a strong focus on delivery. You should be a team player but be able to organise your own workload and be committed to providing a high standard of customer service. You will have high competency with IT in particular Excel, and ideally have a knowledge of the Government's retrofit programmes. You must have the ability to travel efficiently around Cumbria to conduct visits and attend meetings; a full UK driving licence is therefore essential and access to a car would be an advantage.

You will be part of a flexible and responsive Housing Team where we work together to get the job done.

For an informal chat or further details, please contact Patrick Jenner, Housing Retrofit Manager
