Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the fabrication and assembly of metal components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to work with various materials, particularly sheet metal.
Duties
- Assemble and fabricate metal structures and components according to specifications.
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including stick welding, to create durable joints.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal products.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance product quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication, particularly with sheet metal.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to metalworking.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
