Summary of Position:
We are looking for a new casual Warehouse Operatives to join our team in Chelmsford. The role will mostly be picking and packing alongside processing goods in and other general warehouse duties. We are a fast paced environment, where you can get stuck in and be hands on.

Salary: £14.00 Per Hour
Schedule: As and when shifts become available.
Hours: Opening hours are 7am till 5pm. Working hours will vary depending on operational needs. There are no fixed start or finish times, offering flexibility for individuals who require adaptable working patterns. This role is particularly well suited to those with childcare responsibilities, other family commitments or students who are seeking part-time hours that can fit around their schedule.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Receiving: This team accepts our customers' new inventory and owns the entire process of getting that inventory put away and accepted into our system. You will also be responsible for communicating the arrivals and any issues with the inventory.
* Picking: Spread across two different processes our picking team is responsible for delivering products to the next stage of the process quickly and accurately. An integral team in warehouse, pickers and their peers keep the flow of customers' products moving and keep the warehouse humming.
* Packing: The final touches before a customer receive their products, the packing team is responsible for ensuring the quality of each and every shipment as well as packing the items correctly. The packing team works with the picking team to guarantee that shipments are fulfilled perfectly and owns all responsibility around those shipments.
* Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment.
* Processing returns back into the warehouse, checking over the products and processing them on the handheld device into an unsellable or sellable location.
* Wholesale order preparation, for larger orders into boxes/on pallets.
* Kitting work, where items are collated together for a set or relabelled.
* Other Duties as Required: We are a team which means you will be asked to help out in other areas out of your normal day-to-day responsibilities to ensure the operations are running efficiently.
Person Specification:
The applicant must be computer literate, have an enthusiastic attitude, be self motivated, dependable and eager to learn. Physical strength and fitness is important as you may need to lift heavy boxes. Honesty and trustworthiness along with team working are essential.
What you'll need
* English is essential.
* Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred, not essential) you will go through a training programme
* Ability to arrive to work on time.
* Ability to lift up to 25KG without restriction.
* Able to stand and walk continually during and up to an 8 hour shift.
* Able to bend, stoop, reach above, and push/pull frequently.
* You're willing to get your hands dirty to get a task completed.
* You have the ability to adapt to change quickly.
* You are extremely detail orientated.
* Ability to quickly understand new processes and identify operational opportunities.
* You're looking to get your foot in the door in a rapidly growing start-up company.
Dress Code:
High Vis vest which will be supplied and own steel toe cap shoes are required.
