Overview
Volunteer Grant Researcher role at Autism Anglia. This is a volunteer opportunity within the Fundraising team. Grant income funds projects, equipment and improvements to services. The role offers valuable experience in Trust Fundraising and contributes to the charity’s work.
Location: Hybrid – Home working, and/or our Head Office at Colchester Business Park CO4 9YQ
Time commitment: Ideally a minimum of 2 hours per week
Duration: This is an ongoing role and would be subject to review
Responsibilities
* Use the internet to research grant making organisations to understand their eligibility criteria and potential match to our projects.
* Contribute to the database of funders based on eligibility criteria, deadlines and application status.
* Follow links supplied by the Fundraising Manager and use your own initiative to discover new opportunities.
* If suitable, start drafting responses based on information supplied to you by the Fundraising Manager.
* Submit draft responses to the Fundraising Manager to submit on behalf of the charity.

* A good understanding of the challenges faced by autistic people and their families.
* Ability to research the internet for potential funding matches.
* Ability to understand the criteria set by grant making bodies and relate them to Autism Anglia and our specific projects.
* A willingness to learn the funding needs required within Autism Anglia.
* Patience and a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of others.
