Position Summary: This position will be primarily responsible for representing the 4AIR brand within Europe, including representing the company at conferences, identifying and meeting with potential customers and partners, and identifying adaptations for the sustainability program for European based customers. This position entails assessing lead quality, engaging in client conversations, and converting prospects into customers. This role will also serve as a subject matter expert, staying informed about the rapidly changing and evolving industry, and demonstrating thought leadership at the intersection of sustainability and business aviation. The successful candidate will be a vital member of a growing team, assisting with the decarbonization of aviation through comprehensive sustainability solutions. The candidate will have a role in all pillars of sustainability including carbon offsets, sustainable aviation fuel, waste management, and new technology. Location: Remote in Europe or the United Kingdom - with office space available in Farnborough or London. Essential Functions: Suggest changes to current sustainability programs, adapting current framework to meet local, regional, and customer preferences while staying comparable and transparent. Incorporate broader sustainability views, including areas such as water, waste, and whole life cycle impacts. Build relationships with customers to understand their needs and help educate about programs. Responsible for identifying prospective target customers through individual research and business partnership. Developing an effective and long-term relationship sales approach with our prospects base by attending events, visiting prospects for face-to-face meetings, engaging them with a seamless and elegant manner avoiding usual transactional sales tactics. Act as an initial point of contact for identified prospects and explain program options. Stay on top of best practices and research within sustainability and adapt for turnkey solutions targeted at a diverse and growing set of customers. Speak and attend conferences, webinars, and perform individual research to stay on top of emerging policy developments and be able to communicate summary notes and guidance about the impacts for our program to the company and customers. Educates clients about nuances of environmental footprints, specifically difference between emission scopes, and related opportunities to reduce their footprint. Ensure customer deliverables and inquiries are addressed on time. Communicate effectively and clearly with outside clients and partners. Perform other related duties as assigned. Key Skills and Competencies Understand business aviation industry in Europe and the related sustainability initiatives. Strong understanding of leading sustainability concepts, important areas of focus, especially around varying environmental aspects - emissions, waste, water, etc. Understands how various regulatory reporting and emissions accounting schemes will impact different stakeholders. Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, employees, and other departments. Ability to accept feedback and work collaboratively as part of a team to develop and apply skills in a unique setting. Thoughtful application of recordkeeping and documentation principles in an organized manner. Ability to meet deadlines, must be comfortable prioritizing tasks, demonstrate flexibility, display a strong work ethic, fanatical attention to detail, and sense of urgency. Ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects simultaneously, and work in a small team, remote environment. Ability and eagerness to learn and critically apply knowledge in order to improve programs and educate peers. Capable of representing the company at industry events, including speaking engagements. Experience in and knowledge of aviation industry in Europe and sustainability initiatives. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while working remotely. Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Additional Desired Qualifications: Bachelor or Masters in business, accounting, sustainability or related fields Intermediate proficiency in French and/or German Experience in regulatory compliance field, preferably from a corporate entity required to comply with a GHG, EPA, emissions or other sustainability scheme.
